2019 Conference- October 25, 2019
Pat May Center
In 2018, eight million STEM jobs will be available in the United States*; however, few students are prepared to fill these careers. There are approximately 2.5 entry-level job postings for each new bachelor's degree recipient in a STEM field, compared with 1.1 job postings in a non-STEM field. STEM jobs are expected to grow 70% faster than overall employment during the next several years.
STEM Goes Red engages over 150 middle school students in a four-month-long program. Their experience begins with an interactive conference in October, including CPR training and unique breakout sessions that cover all areas of STEM. They will also have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with mentors who are executives in STEM careers.
